The two-time defending CCAA Champion VIU Mariners cruised to a first-place finish in the PACWEST with a perfect 24-0 record. Led by PACWEST Player of the Year Karoline Tormena, VIU defeated the Camosun Chargers in the PACWEST Championship final. The Mariners, who have collected five CCAA titles since 2008, will face the Lynx d’Édouard-Montpetit, the RSEQ Wildcard entry. The Lynx, who hosted the CCAA Women’s Volleyball National Championship in 2015, were defeated by the Élans de Garneau in the RSEQ Championship final. Édouard-Montpetit went 13-4 during the regular season and placed second overall in the RSEQ.
