CALGARY – Sophia Hansen of the Calgary Dinos has been named to the Canada West Women’s Volleyball All-Rookie Team, the league office announced Wednesday.
The 6-foot-2 outside hitter had a strong first season on the court with the Dinos. She finished the year ranked seventh in Canada West in total kills (238) and ninth in kills per set with 3.26. She also led the team in aces with 22 on the year and racked up 20 blocks and 110 digs on the year.
This marks the third straight season the Dinos have had a representative on the league’s all-rookie squad.
