BURLINGTON, Ont. – Alex King and Jacob Walker, members of the Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU) Bold men’s volleyball team, have been named OUA All-Stars, as announced by the conference office on Tuesday afternoon. Walker, an outside hitter, earned second-team honours while King, a right side, received third-team recognition.
Jacob Walker – Outside Hitter – 4th Year – Business Management
- Led the Bold with 260 kills (2.66 kills per set), 300.5 points (4.23 pts per set) and 27 service aces (0.38 service aces per set)
- Finished fourth in the conference in kills, third in kills per set and third in service aces per set
- Played in 71 sets for the Bold, the second-most on the team
- Registered over 20 kills in a match three times
- This accolade adds to an impressive career, which includes selections to the 2021-22 OUA East All-Rookie Team, the 2021-22 U Sports All-Rookie Team, and the 2022-23 OUA All-Star First Team
Alex King – Right Side – Graduate Student – Business Management
- Led the bold with 77 set appearances
- Recorded the third-highest hitting percentage in the OUA at .291
- Finished second on the team in points with 238.5 (3.10 points per set)
- Produced 10 multi-kill games throughout the season
- This honour complements an outstanding career, highlighted by back-to-back OUA First-Team All-Star selections (2022-23, 2023-24) and being named the TMU On the Record Male Athlete of the Year for 2022-23
