North Bay, ON – Nipissing Lakers Men’s Volleyball is proud to announce that Marc Marchand has been named to the OUA’s 2nd All Star team for the 2025-26 season.
Marchand, an outside hitter from Lindsay, Ontario, is finishing his fifth and final season with the Lakers and appeared in 20 regular season games for Nipissing this season, starting in all.
Marchand finished the regular season 9th in the OUA with 235 kills. Marchand also scored a 2.36 kills per set rate, good for 8th in the OUA. Marc finished 8th place in both total attacks (587) and total attacks per set (8.15). Marchand scored 3.7 points per set and served 12 aces for the Lakers in the regular season. Marc finished 12th in the OUA with 265 total points.
“Marc has quietly become one of our league’s top outside hitters and has performed consistently for us this season” Nipissing Head Coach Eric Yung said of Marchand.
“Without having a big arm, he has learned how to be effective and efficient by making better decisions, something that he has learned over the years. He has fine-tuned all areas of his game and played a big role in our historic quarter final victory. We are proud of his recognition.”
