Queen’s Men’s Volleyball bounce back for straight sets win over Western

Queen’s Men’s Volleyball bounced back from their Friday night loss to defeat the host Western Mustangs 3-0 (25-23, 30-28, 25-16) Saturday afternoon in London, Ont.

With the victory, the Gaels split their weekend series with the Mustangs and improved their record to 10-4. Queen’s sits in third place in the OUA standings, just two games out of first place. 

Nikola Mitrovic (Economics) had a strong performance in the win, finishing with a game-high 15 kills.

Reed Venning (Arts & Science) was also strong, recording 10 kills and six digs, while Wyatt Hall (Arts & Science) finished with a game-high 34 assists.

Queen’s Men’s Volleyball returns to the court next weekend with a doubleheader against their crosstown rivals, the RMC Paladins. The Gaels travel across the Causeway to take on the Paladins on Friday, Jan. 23 at 7:30 PM and Saturday, Jan. 24 at 3:30 PM.
