TOP TEN RANKINGS

LANGLEY, British Columbia – In this week’s U SPORTS Top 10 rankings, the Spartans’ men’s and women’s volleyball teams are in the national rankings. The women move back into the Top 10 after a weekend sweep of the Regina Cougars this past weekend at the Langley Events Centre in Langley, B.C.
 
The Spartans men’s volleyball team remains at No. 2 after a bye week. While the women move back in, up to No. 9 after sweeping the Regina Cougars both nights winning 25-19, 25-21 and 25-16 on Friday, and 25-17, 25-21 and 25-13 on Saturday night.
 
The Spartans women will have a bye this week, while the men will host the Saskatchewan Huskies on Friday and Saturday at the Langley Events Centre in Langley, B.C.

As official members of U SPORTS, the Spartans currently compete in 11 sports in the Canada West conference, including women’s and men’s soccer, volleyball, basketball, hockey and track & field, as well as women’s rugby sevens. TWU also competes as in the NAIA in track and field and cross country and as an independent team in men’s rugby and women’s and men’s disc golf. Since TWU entered U SPORTS in 1999, the Spartans have won 14 U SPORTS team championships and 33 Canada West team championships.
