The Ontario Volleyball Association (OVA) continues to work in consultation with the Government of Ontario, through the Ministry of Heritage, Sport, Tourism and Culture Industries as we communicate important government directives and updates related to the current global pandemic.

The Government of Ontario announced on February 14, 2022, that it is relaxing public health measures, in response to the recent status of the COVID-19 pandemic.

As part of those changes, effective Feb. 17, 2022, at 12:01 a.m. the Government of Ontario has allowed the resumption of indoor sport activities and removed the capacity limits in non-spectator areas of sport and recreational fitness facilities. The Ontario Government is also allowing 50% capacity in designated spectator areas of sport and recreational fitness facilities.

Please confirm your capacity limits with your facility, as facilities may impose rules above and beyond that Ontario regulations that must be followed.

The OVA has reviewed the changes with the Ministry of Heritage, Sport, Tourism and Culture Industries and has confirmed the interpretation for sport.
