Emmett Graham Named U SPORTS Second Team All-Canadian

BRANDON, Man. – Wednesday morning (Mar. 20) at the 2025 U SPORTS Men’s Volleyball All-Canadian Breakfast, rightside hitter Emmett Graham became the 42nd Huskie men’s volleyball player to be named a U SPORTS All-Canadian. It also marked the second consecutive season in which the Dogs’ have been featured among the national all-stars.

Emmett Graham, who was named to the U SPORTS All-Canadian Second Team, became the second Huskie since 2012-13 to be named to the national first or second all-star team, joining former Saskatchewan student-athlete Dylan Mortensen who was named a First Team All-Canadian in 2022-23.

Graham’s national recognition comes after a fantastic 2024-25 campaign in which the Saskatoon product finished among the top 10 players in the nation in kills per set (7th, 3.81) and points per set (8th, 4.3) while helping the Huskies to a 14-6 record, the No. 4 seed in the Canada West playoffs, and a U SPORTS Championship berth. 

During the regular season, the fourth-year outside hitter surpassed double-digits in 15 of the 19 games he saw action in and earned 20+ points in six matches as one of the Dogs’ most consistent hitters. His season was highlighted by a 28 point performance in a 3-1 win against the TRU Wolfpack on November 30th in which Graham converted on 69.7% of attacks. In addition to being one of the nations most productive hitters, he also ranked among the best in Canada West in total attacks per set (9th, 7.22) and hitting percentage (6th, .376). Graham was also a key member of one of the best defensive units, finishing the regular season with 1.76 digs per set (11th in CW).

He continued to rise to the occasion in the postseason, helping Saskatchewan to a Canada West Bronze Medal in a dramatic reverse sweep of the UBC Thunderbirds. Graham recorded double-digit point performances in all five of the Huskies’ playoff games, including 20+ point performances in game one and two of the Canada West Quarter-Final series against the TWU Spartans and the conference semifinals against the Winnipeg Wesmen.

Graham and the Huskies will turn their attention to the Queen’s Gaels, their U SPORTS Quarter-Final opponent in the 2025 National Championships. The match is set for 7pm (Sask Time) on Friday, March 21 at the Healthy Living Centre.
