Hannah Duchesneau Named OUA Player of the Year for the Second Straight Season

KINGSTON, Ont. (March 3, 2025) – Queen’s Women’s Volleyball’s Hannah Duchesneau named OUA Player of the Year and First Team All-Star for the second consecutive season as announced by the OUA on Monday.

This marks the fourth straight year of OUA recognition for Duchesneau (Arts & Science), following All-Rookie honors in 2021-22 and First Team accolades in 2022-23.

“Hannah is an incredibly talented athlete who excels in multiple areas of the game,” said Shanice Marcelle, head coach of the Queen’s Women’s Volleyball team.
“She is a leader on the court and a fierce competitor who challenges everyone to get better with her high level of play. No one is more deserving of her Player of the Year recognition after a dominant performance last season as co-player of the year.”

Duchesneau’s offensive dominance was evident throughout the season, as the veteran ranked eighth in the OUA with 221 kills, averaging 3.30 kills per set. Duchesneau also ranked third in hitting percentage at .297.

Duchesneau helped lead the Gaels to a 17-3 record in the regular season, the best in the OUA.
