QUICK FACTS

York

  • With a 3-0 win (25-20, 25-17, 25-14) over the Rams Saturday, the women’s volleyball team picked up their third consecutive win and pulled them into a tie for first with the Toronto Varsity Blues for first overall in the OUA East.
  • After a tight first set where the Lions came out victorious, the second and third set were all York.

Trent

  • The Excalibur have proven to have a streaky start to the 2021-22 season, recently ending a three-game losing streak after winning two straight games right before that.
  • However, all three of their victories are against winless RMC – they only have one set win against a team not named RMC.

PLAYERS TO WATCH

York

Olivia Kim: An honourable mention for York female athlete of the week, Kim led the Lions in points for both of their victories … Includes a 16-point performance on Saturday … Former OUA East second-team all-star in 2019-20 and U SPORTS academic all-Canadian in 2020-21.

Trent

Natalie Fournier: Had a career-high 14 points in their last game against RMC, also a team-high for the game. 39 total points on the 2021-22 season.
