TOP TEN RANKINGS

LANGLEY, British Columbia – This week’s U SPORTS Top 10 rankings see the Spartans men’s volleyball team as the lone Trinity Western team ranked in the nation’s Top 10 rankings. The Spartans remain in the rankings as they drop to No. 9 after a pair of 3-0 road losses to the No. 10 Manitoba Bisons.
 
The Spartans will be at home this weekend when they match up with the No. 1 Alberta Golden Bears. Alberta currently sits at 11-1 in Canada West conference play, while TWU sits at 7-5. Match times at the Langley Events Centre on Friday, January 17, and Saturday, January 18 are set for 7 p.m. (PT), and 6 p.m. (PT). Both matches can be seen live on Canada West TV.

As official members of U SPORTS, the Spartans currently compete in 13 sports in the Canada West conference, including women’s and men’s soccer, volleyball, basketball, hockey, cross country and track & field, as well as women’s rugby sevens. TWU also competes as an independent team in men’s rugby and women’s and men’s disc golf. Since TWU entered U SPORTS in 1999, the Spartans have won 14 U SPORTS team championships and 33 Canada West team championships.
