SEASON RECAP
The Women’s team had one of their best regular seasons in recent memory, posting a 17-5 record, never losing two matches in a row. The team had a winning streak of 10 matches stretching from November 15th through January 30th, which included a set win streak of 24 straight. The Mustangs took their quarterfinal match over Toronto 3-2 but fell to McMaster in the semi-finals. Five members of the team were recognized in the OUA Awards. Emma Buntic was a First Team All-Star, Ava Ebert was a Second Team All-Star, Madeline Pelosi was a Third Team All-Star and Toni Wilson & Ava Coonfer were named to the All-Rookie Team. Wilson was also named to the U SPORTS All-Rookie Team.

The Men’s team finished with a 15-10 record for the season and put them into a quarterfinal match against Guelph. The Mustangs took a 3-1 win over the Gryphons and advanced to face Windsor. The Mustangs would fall 3-1 to the Lancers but had another shot at a berth in the U SPORTS Championship in the OUA Bronze Medal match. Western faced off against Nipissing and dominated the match, winning 3-0, clinching a spot in Windsor for the national championship. Western battled hard against a pair of tough opponents in Trinity Western and Montreal, losing 3-0 & 3-2. Cade Smith was named an OUA First Team All-Star while Michael Jones was named a Third Team OUA All-Star.
