No. 9 Badgers complete straight-sets win over Lancers

Brock evened the weekend series against Windsor with a win.

The No. 9 ranked Brock Badgers women’s volleyball team won 3-0 (25-18, 25-18, 25-20) at Bob Davis Gymnasium over the Windsor Lancers on Sunday, Jan. 19.

Sadie Dick led the Badgers in kills with 10 as well as points registering 14.5 with five block assists. Mackenna Knox had a game-high 32 assists.

Windsor and Brock traded points early before the Badgers capitalized, scoring four straight points including an Emily Foest kill to take the opening set 25-18.

The Badgers continued their momentum into the second set, starting with a 7-2 run before a string of seven straight Lancers’ points helped them take a 10-8 lead. Brock showed perseverance as they finished the second set on a 7-4 run, winning 25-18 once again.

Finishing off the contest with a 25-20 third set, the Badgers scored two straight points despite a late surge from Windsor who were hoping to extend the game.

Brock also led Windsor in hitting percentage with .216 to .024.

Up next, the Brock Badgers head off to London to face the Western Mustangs on Friday, Jan. 24 at 6 p.m. You can catch the action on OUA.tv. The Badgers last faced the Mustangs on Feb. 24, 2024 which they won 3-0 (25-12, 25-19, 25-13).
