Bold Add Versatile Ethan Lau From BC

TORONTO – The Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU) Bold men’s volleyball team has added another important piece to its 2025-26 recruiting class with the signing of Ethan Lau, a 6’2″ outside hitter and libero from Richmond, B.C.

Lau joins the Bold from Air Attack Volleyball Club and is expected to make an impact with his impressive passing platform and arm swing.

“When I first watched Ethan play, I was very impressed with his stability on serve receive, especially his forearm passing,” said Bold head coach Niko Rukavina. “He reads serves at a very high level and can move efficiently to the ball. I am excited to see him take the next steps in his game, whether it’s as an outside hitter or libero!”

Lau is excited to train and compete in Toronto, stating that he, “chose TMU for its amazing facilities and seamless integration with downtown city life.”

The Richmond native becomes the fifth player to sign with Coach Rukavina and the Bold for the 2025-26 season.
