Men’s volleyball announce commitment of standout middle Isaac McComb

The men’s volleyball program, one of the best blocking teams in the country, has added more talent at the middle position, announcing the commitment of 6’8″ Calgary, AB native Isaac McComb.

McComb has been a team MVP and captain over the years. He was the MVP for his high school team, Joane Cardinal-Schubert in 2023-24, and has been captain of the senior high school team from 2023-25.

At the club level, McComb was MVP for Ace Volleyball’s U17 Team in the 2023-24 season.

McComb — whose two grandparents both graduated from the University of Manitoba — has maintained an average above 90 percent in the classroom.

“The Bisons program provides an excellent opportunity in my journey to becoming the most successful athlete and student I am capable of,” he said.

“After meeting the team and Coach Ludwig, I am extremely excited to be a part of the community and cultivate my talents at the University of Manitoba.”
