CALGARY – Trinity Western opened the East vs. West tournament with a 3-0 (25-16, 25-18, 28-26) win over Waterloo Thursday afternoon on Kenyon Court at Mount Royal University.
QUOTABLE
Adam Schriemer, TWU Head Coach
“We’re happy to get the win to start this East vs. West tournament. I thought throughout this match there were certain phases that would work, but nothing really worked for long. There were times where our block defence was pretty strong and there were times where we found our offence and were earning a lot of points, but it wasn’t always consistent. The thing that was nice was that we were really consistent with our serving today. We talked about how the best serve is the one you don’t expect and the variation of our serves was really strong tonight.”
