McMaster hosted the U SPORTS Championship last year, where they faced Brock in the consolation final and won 3-0. The Marauders then went on to defeat Saint Mary’s, securing a fifth-place finish, making it the best ever national finish in McMaster women’s volleyball program history. McMaster’s first appearance at the U SPORTS Championship was in the 2007-2008 season.

Last year, McMaster’s Jenna Woock earned Second Team All-Canadian honours, and the year before, Sundara was named to the Second Team All-Canadian list.

UBC has won the U SPORTS Women’s Volleyball Championship for the past two years and leads the nation with 14 titles.
