Saturday, Nov. 8, 2025 | Gryphons Sweep Weekend Homestand with Straight Sets Win

The Gryphons continued their strong play on Saturday night as they swept Trent in straight sets with sets score of 25-8, 25-21, 25-18. Guelph just like they did on Friday night, got off to a strong start in the opening set as they had 15 kills on 22 attempts and hit a blistering .545%. With Trent building a little momentum in the third set with the score 9-9, Avery Sentance would come into the match as service sub and flip the match around as her serve caused the Exalibur problems leading to five straight Gryphon points, including an ace to put the Gryphs in front 15-9 as they’d close out the match in straight sets. Sentance’s ace was one of eight Gryphon aces in the match. Jordan Vang and Maia Dan led the Gryphs with 14 points each. Vang had 13 kills on the match while Dan had 10 kills to go along with her team high 4 aces. Second year outside hitter Sloane Fortin caps off the trio of Gryphs with double-digit points in the win scoring 13 points with 12 kills.

The Gryphons (3-1) women’s volleyball team are on the road next week as they make one of their two trips to Kingston this season as they take on the RMC Paladins on Friday night (Nov. 14) and Saturday afternoon (Nov. 15).
